Department of Tamil

TAMIL IS A CLASSICAL LANGUAGE our department received a grant of Rs. 150000/- in 2011-2012 as well as in 2013-2014 from the esteemed central institute of classical Tamil. An international seminar was conducted. Every year our department conducted seminar and workshops our students are not only focused on education, but also enlightened about the realistic aspects of life. A seminar on TRANSGENDERS was conducted. Discourses pertaining to the lives of the NON-RESIDENT INDIANS.

Students had a lively interaction with a CANADIAN TAMIL FAMILY. They also had the opportunity to engage in fruitful discussions with a lady SRILANKA.

WE had tie up with Tamil literary association like TAMILNADU MURPOKKU EZHUTHALAR KALAIGNARGAL ASSOCIATION (Tamilnadu innovative writer and artists association ) AND NEW CENTURY BOOK HOUSE (NCBH) and conducted many seminars and creativity programmes.

Our department FACULTIES to the training programme to the PG TEACHERS.

Our department has four important clubs to bring out the hidden talent ofn the student.

• PARITHIMAR KALAINGAR DRAMA CLUB –patronises the TAMIL DRAMA in the premises.
• SILVER RING (VELLI VATTAM) NATURES the research potential of the students.
• FULL MOON POETIC FORUMhardnesses the poetic powers of the young prodigies .
• REGAL ROAR- Reinforces the rhetorical skill of the learners .
