Department of History
S. Prabha, M.A., M.Phil., HOD
Civilization is a movement which enriches the Human Race into a new dimension. History plays a vital role to cherish.It also helps to understand the entire universe through its lessons. To create such a feeling among our students the Department of History visualize the facts and factualists of the past. Under graduate course in History was started in 1998 with English as its medium of instruction. In 2012-13, Tamil medium was introduced.
Then Post Graduate course in History was introduced in 2012-13.Our department has got its own department library with subject oriented and relevant reference books. Our students are allowed to borrow this from the library. Consecutive Gold Medals and academic performance of post graduate encouraged the department to apply for M.Phil and Ph.D courses. The department strives hard to harvest 100% results.
