Computer Literacy Programme - CLP

                 This programme was introduced by the Tamilnadu Government in 2005, in tie-up with a private concern, Ravichandra System and Computer Services, Coimbatore, for a period of 5 years from 25/11/2005 onwards. At present the programme is carried out by the institution itself. This programme is introduced solely for the benefit of the I year non-computer science students. The duration of the course is 6 months and the course fee is Rs. 700/- The Tamilnadu Government conducts a common written Examination and issues certificates to the passed students.

• Networking Concepts
• Internet and its Application
• Creating WebPages
• Introduction to Tamil Word Processor- Tamil Browser and Tamil E-Mail

This Programme helps the students acquire essential knowledge in Computer. The students become familiar with the methods of PowerPoint Presentation, E-Mail, Internet Usage, etc. With the free laptop issued by the Tamilnadu Government to government school/college students and with Wi-Fi facility available in the campus, the students are able to probe deep into the world of computer.
